Systems & Network Architect

Start Date: Immediate

About the Position:

We have a team of highly skilled individuals and we're looking for an experienced network and infrastructure engineer to help our systems architecture grow with our business needs. The position is full time, permanent and there's never a shortage of tasks so we're looking for someone with the flexibility to work with the team as well as recognize a need and work autonomously when appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Firewall configuration
  • Maintaining relationships with multiple hosting facilities
  • Server software setup and configuration
  • Network diagnostics
  • Security scanning
  • High availability (HA) monitoring

Other Requirements:

  • Experience with virtualized environments (ESXi)
  • Strong understanding of what it takes to set up public-facing web services.
  • Experience with HTTP services like Apache and Nginx
  • Strong understanding of proxy services
  • Knowledge of database management systems (MySQL)
  • Strong background with Linux operating systems

Systems & Network Support

Start Date: Immediate

About the Position:

We're looking for a motivated individual to take ownership of our office network and workstations and keep them working, happy and healthy. Additionally, this individual would work closely with our team of software developers on basic scripting, deployment and other maintenance tasks as needed. Depending on your skills and how quickly you can learn this position can grow in both salary and responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must be experienced in Windows workstations including the installation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Experience with Microsoft network setup – we have a network and we'd like to keep it running smoothly.
  • The patience required to give IT help to non-IT staff.
  • Virus removal and Anti-Virus scanning.
  • Some basic programming skills – I don't need an expert coder, but you'll be working with expert coders and need to be able to relate. In this area, there is the greatest potential for growth.
  • Demonstrable ability to get around on a Linux command line.
  • Basic understanding of internet protocols and communication.

Other Requirements:

  • Familiarity/Experience with setting up Virtual Machines (VMware)
  • Web development skills (HTML/CSS)
  • SQL database experience (MySQL)
  • MAC experience – we have a few on the network.
  • The ability and desire to learn and grow your skills.

Customer Sales and Support Specialist

Start Date: TBD

Detail: Full Time Position, 32-40 hours per week

Career opening available as Customer Sales & Support Specialist in extremely successful, growing support services company in the fast-paced internet marketing industry, based in Victoria. The successful candidate must have excellent sales abilities, verbal, communications and interpersonal skills. Must also have experience using MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook. Previous experience in a sales, customer support, and/or office environment is considered a definite asset. Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish considered a definite asset.

Shifts available:
2pm to 10 pm
6am to 2pm

Hourly wage to start plus Commissions and Solid Benefits Plan, including Medical, Dental, Employee Assistance Program and Paid Vacation.
